UP Health System (UPHS), a Duke LifePoint Hospital in Marquette, Michigan invites ABEM BC/BE physicians to join our cohesive & collegial Emergency Medicine team. Those who are currently practicing or are currently in training can be considered.

About us:

• Marquette is on the southern shores of Lake Superior offering miles and miles of open beach along with the opportunity for every water activity
• Nationally known for our hiking and biking trails * Bike Magazine has stayed with us to test bikes for their annual Bike Bible publications.
• Population just 60+k with a regional catchment area of 310K

Position Detail:

• Hospital-employed practice with 9 current physicians, 2 PAs
• 20-bed Emergency Department in a level II trauma center, regional referral center
• 8-hr & 12 hr. shifts available.
• 12 to 15 shifts/month, with opportunity to seek additional shifts at associated rural critical access hospitals within the system
• Teaching affiliation with Michigan State University medical students and family practice residents
• Approximately 1.6 patients per hour
• 36 hours of physician coverage per day, 12 hours PA coverage
• EDIS EMR system in the Emergency Department, Paragon inpatient system
• Full radiographic support including US, CT, MRI capability.
