The UCHealth Ortho-Trauma team islooking for a bright, hard-working Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner tojoin the team.
This is a highly coveted position and the team is willing towait for and train the perfect candidate to the high standards and quality ofwork that this area of specialty care is known for.

Locations: MHC, Printers Park Medical Plaza and MHN
Work Schedule: This position requires a very flexible provider whounderstands the needs of the department and is willing to adapt to a variety ofrotating schedules, to include;
* 80 hours a pay period
* Weekdays, weekends, overnights, days ,combo
* In-house 12h call shift (MHC), OR shift, clinic shift, andfloor or rounding shift

The pay range for this position is: $50.20 - $71.70 / hour.Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.

Responsibilities:
* Under the supervision of a physician, provides directdiagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services to patients in Ortho-Trauma.
* Obtain patient history and perform assessment viaobservation, interview, and examination. Order, perform, and interpretdiagnostic procedures.
* Provide direct treatment and management of health conditionsvia prescriptive authority or referral to other healthcare providers orcommunity resources.
* When applicable: Perform preventative health assessments,screening, immunizations and care. scope of job, requires critical thinkingskills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision
* Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and takeappropriate action.
* Provide counseling and education of patients and theirfamilies/caregivers concerning preventive health, treatment options andcommunity resources

Minimum Experience: 2 years

Procedures:
* Ortho-Trauma a plus
* General Trauma
* Reductions/splinting (highly preferred, but willing totrain)
* First-assist experience highly preferred

Requirements for PhysicianAssistants
* Master's Degree in PhysicianAssistant Studies
* Unrestrictedlicense to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Colorado.
* PhysicianAssistant Certification (PA-C) issued by the National Commission forCertification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is required for hire and must bemaintained throughout employment
* UnrestrictedDrug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe all medicationscommonly prescribed in the course of practice.
* Eligibleto provide reimbursable services and maintain provider status with Medicare andMedicaid.
* Eligibleto provide services with no sanctions or exclusion from either the Health andHuman Services/Office of Inspectors General (HHS/OIG) or the General ServicesAdministration's (GSA) List of Parties Excluded from Federal Programs.
* Unrestrictedmedical staff membership, with appropriate practice privileges.
* Prescriptiveauthority as appropriate, per medical staff service privileging process.
* BasicLife Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association orthe American Red Cross

Requirements for Nurse Practitioners
* Master'sdegree in Nursing and graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
* NursePractitioner Certification issued by the American Nurses Credentialing Center(ANCC) or Nurse Practitioner Certification issued by the American Academy ofNurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) is required for hire and mustbe maintained throughout employment.
* UnrestrictedNurse Practitioner license issued by the State Board of Nursing in the state ofpractice or compact privileges under the multi-state Nurse Licensure Compactagreement
* Unrestrictedmedical staff membership, with appropriate practice privileges
* Fullprescriptive authority
* UnrestrictedDrug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe all medicationscommonly prescribed in the course of practice.
* Eligibleto provide reimbursable services and maintain provider status with Medicare andMedicaid.
