SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Virtual Care Nurse (VCN) provides TeleICU nursing care to a diverse population of critically ill patients across multiple hospitals regionally from a centralized Virtual Care Center. The VCN assesses their patients data and provides nursing care in collaboration with local care teams using audio/video connections during the patients ICU stay to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The VCN performs video assessment of their patient, monitors patients' biometric data, vital signs and other physiological data using specialized software and digital health technologies.Â
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
Three (3) years ICU nursing experience
Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact
AHA ACLS and BLS prior to end of orientation period
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
Experience with Cerner PowerchartÂ
CCRNÂ
Trauma Nursing CertificationÂ
Telehealth certification
