JOB SUMMARY
The Associate Chief Medical Officer (ACMO) - Security Health Plan (SHP) serves as an executive within SHP and Marshfield Clinic Health System (MCHS) providing support to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO)- SHP to drive the organization's value-based care and population health strategy. The ACMO - SHP supports the operational success of the population health management, quality and pharmacy functions of the health plan and works alongside departmental directors to provide leadership for all activities within those departments as directed by the CMO-SHP.

EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.)

Preferred/Optional: Master's degree in business administration (M.B.A.), public health (M.P.H.), healthcare administration (M.H.A.)

EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required: Five or more years' of executive level, or ten or more years' of management level experience in managed care organization or health plan, preferably in an integrated health system. Demonstrated understanding of healthcare and medical economics in managed healthcare and evidence of applying this knowledge in day-to-day activities. Demonstrated success with program design, development, and implementation in prior leadership roles.

Preferred/Optional:
Visionary with an understanding of healthcare reform, integration strategy and value-based care. Experience in working with physician groups to drive organizational change toward value-based care models. Ability to work with all levels of administration, staff, and physicians in multiple settings and locations within MCHS and other external provider partners. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
Minimum Required: Unrestricted license to practice Medicine & Surgery.

Preferred/Optional: Board certified by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS). Preferred State of Wisconsin license to practice Medicine and Surgery.
