Position Summary

The Respiratory Care Program Coordinator coordinates and supports Respiratory Care diagnostic programs according to established hospital and departmental policies, procedures and all applicable regulations and standards. This position assists in ensuring staff competencies within certain designated programs and coordinates performance improvement activities to optimize care and services. This position also maintains competencies to provide preventative, supportive, and corrective interventions related to the cardio-pulmonary system through the provision of Respiratory Care.

Experience

• Three years experience in general pediatric and/or neonatal Respiratory Care (Required)
• One year experience in education, orientation and quality improvement (Required)
• PICU or NICU experience (Preferred)

Certifications

• Current State of Arizona license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (Required)
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (Required)
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist credential (Required)
• Certification in NRP and PALS from the American Heart Association (Preferred)
• Membership in the AARC (American Association for Respiratory Care) (Preferred)

Special Skills

• One year experience with Windows based PC applications (Required)
