The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Connerton, Land O’ Lakes

The role you’ll contribute:

The respiratory care equipment technician works under the supervision of the respiratory department leadership team and with the guidance of licensed respiratory care practitioners to prepare, transport, set up and check respiratory care equipment in both routine and emergency situations including the management and distribution of medical gas cylinders to all patient care areas.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Provides non-direct patient care support services for respiratory therapy department.
• Management and distribution of medical gas cylinders including inventory and cylinder transport to all patient care areas.
• Make daily rounds to assigned areas to deliver, check, change and set-up equipment.
• Direct Supply-Chain management for all stocking and inventory of the RT Department supplies.
• Maintain all respiratory supply areas to optimal par levels. Coordinates with Respiratory unit leaders to maintain an organized stock/supply room.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• High School education or equivalent
• Previous hospital materials management experience preferred

       Student enrolled in a 2 yr Accredited Respiratory Care Program

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

·       Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
