Job Summary
The Transport RRT will provide safe, timely, high-quality care during the transport of all neonatal and pediatric patients, and patients determined by the transport medical director in need of transport. Initiate emergency protocols independently following ACLS, PALS, and NRP guidelines. The Transport RT role is integral to the day-to-day clinical operations of the Transport Team. This role manages complex neonatal and pediatric patient transports via rotor, ground or fixed wing modes, with particular attention to airway management. In addition, the transport RT is cross trained into all aspects of the transport team. Responsible for delivery of respiratory care to all patients, including therapeutic treatments, oxygen therapy, blood gas draws and analysis, ventilator management, airway management, medication administration per protocols and documentation as required.
