CT Intensivist, NSUH (Manhasset)

The Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery Service line at the Northwell Health’s North Shore University Hospital is seeking an experienced Full-time Intensivist to join our team in the Cardiothoracic ICU (CTICU).

North Shore University Hospital has been awarded the Silver Beacon Award for Cardiothoracic ICU. This 756-bed hospital has more than 4,000 specially and subspecialty physicians. The Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery service line performs cardiac related surgeries including open procedures, transcatheter based therapies, ECMO, and LV support for high risk PCI. The program has received many accolades for quality including being one of the few programs in New York State to receive the prestigious double asterisk award from the Department of Health for outcomes that are significantly better than the statewide average.

The candidate must be fellowship trained, and Board Certified in Critical Care or Thoracic Surgery. Primary board certifications can include Internal Medicine, Anesthesia, Emergency Medicine, or General Surgery. Candidates graduating from their sub-specialty training will also be considered depending upon CTICU experience during fellowship training. The ideal candidate should also carry exceptional inter-personal skills with a goal of sharing a vision of unparalleled delivery of care through teamwork, collaboration, innovation, and persistence for excellence.

Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125K to $750K, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity.
