Core faculty member for Critical Care / Pulmonology Fellowship Programs; Teaching pulmonology and critical care medicine to fellows, residents and medical students rotating in Pulm/CC rotations or electives; Responsible for inpatient and outpatient care, including examination of patients, ordering x-rays and laboratory tests to help make a accurate diagnosis, and planning and execution of treatment; Establish an outpatient medical practice in pulmonology; Adhere to institutional and departmental policies and procedures. Occasional Duties Maintain or develop an academic research program within field of subspecialty interests; May conduct lectures, ground rounds, or teaching sessions with fellows, residents and/or medical students.
M.D., D.O., or foreign equivalent degree; License to practice medicine in the State of Texas for be eligible for Texas medical licensure; Must have or be eligible for certificate for prescribing controlled substances; Must have a certificate(s) of post graduate training in primary care and subspecialty care from an ACGME accredited training program.
