Unit Highlights:
The Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) is a 28-bed, post-open heart surgical and cardiac intensive care unit. We provide great opportunities to learn and grow with a caring, specialty trained team. We manage patients with Open Heart Surgery, CABGs, Repair/Replacement of Heart Valves, TAVRs, Cardiovascular Repairs, and much more!

Our surgeons and critical care team collaborate to create holistic care plans suited for each patient. Multidisciplinary rounds are led by our unit medical director and critical care intensivists. Our robust Nursing Governance Council actively participates in continuous quality improvement.

The Registered Professional Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing and supervising direct and indirect total nursing care responsibilities to identified age specific groups. Utilizes the nursing process (assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating) in achieving the goals of the nursing department. Adheres to the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
