JOB SUMMARY:Â
Responsible for assuring that the care provided for the injured patient and family by the interdisciplinary team for clinical care coordination meets the Standards set forth by the Pennsylvania Trauma Systems Foundation (PTSF). Serves as a trauma resource throughout the continuum of care fostering coordinated care as well as addressing trauma program goals. The Trauma Coordinator will assist the Manager Trauma Program to assure that the trauma performance improvement activities are met including, but not limited to, education, outreach, research, injury prevention, and outpatient care coordination.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Master's degree in Nursing required.3 years of experience in emergency department, or critical care settings that includes the care of injured patients required.Currently licensed to practice as a registered nurse by Pennsylvania Board of Examiners required.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:Excellent communication and computer skills required.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Case management experience preferred.Experience in Performance Improvement concepts and application of injured populations preferred.
