• Neurosurgical ICU: 13 bed ICU: Stroke, ? Night shift Physician Assistant position

Responsibilities

• Under the direction and supervision of the Neurointensivist the critical care APP manages a variety of patients in the critical care setting. He/She serves as an advisor, resource, preceptor and leader for other members of the patient care team. The critical care APP provides direct and indirect patient care optimizing patient safety to a patient population consisting of, but not limited to patients with stroke, cerebral edema, brain tumors, and neurosurgical interventions.

Qualifications     

• Successful completion of a physician's assistant program, accredited by the AMA Council on Medical Education Current NYS registration as a Physician Assistant or Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited program in nursing
• Master's degree
• New Jersey Physician Assistant License
