What we need:

We’re currently seeking full-time experienced Registered Nurses to join our team at Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas; The #1 one city in the nation for Nursing opportunities and advancement! Baylor Scott & White Health is a 636-bed specialty care teaching hospital and the only Level 1 Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin.

Why Trauma?

This is a 38 bed Telemetry Monitored Nursing Unit. Working on 5 North gives you the unique opportunity to work with both Adults and Geriatrics. Working on 5 North, you can expect your clinical skills to become greater than ever imagined due to the high acuity of patients which include:

• Post ICU Trauma patients (serious injury to 2 or more body systems)
• Traumatic Intra-Thoracic injury
• Traumatic intra-abdominal injury
• Traumatic Complex Fractures
• Patients with impaired respiratory status
• Traumatic Wounds
• Complex Cholecystectomy and Appendectomy
• Bariatric Surgery
• Colorectal Surgery - bowel malignancies, inflammatory bowel disease
• Thoracic Surgeries- lobectomy, Esophagectomy
• Vascular surgery
• General surgery

• Graduate of RN School of Nursing
• ADN required
• Must be licensed to practice professional nursing by the Board of Nurse Examiners
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required.
• Functions competently and effectively under pressure and emergency situations
