MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center has an excellent hospital employed opportunity for a full time Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine physician in Mason City, Iowa.

We are a Level III trauma center that serves a 15 county network across northern Iowa and southern Minnesota.

• Our medical center functions as a tertiary center- we have nearly all support staff services available in house- GI, Neurosurgery, Hand Surgeons, General Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Cardiology, Neurology, Vascular Surgery, ENT, Urology, Orthopedic Surgery, Infectious Disease, Pulmonology, OB/GYN, Dermatology, Nephrology, Endocrinology, Psychiatry?and so much more!

The selected candidate will provide competent patient care by obtaining and appropriately interpreting data, making appropriate decisions based on demonstrated knowledge of age-specific growth and development, and appropriately adapting procedures and treatments. Instructs and counsels patients regarding physical and mental health. Orders or supplies medication appropriate for the patient Refers patients to appropriate specialists. Provides immediate evaluation and treatment for emergency medical problems. Directs emergency personnel in transport of the patient. Maintains knowledge of community services, agencies and resources. Participates in the required activities of the medical staff of MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center and/or appropriate regional hospitals. Also participates in staff educational in-service meetings.
