Job Description
Assesses plans, organizes, performs, and evaluates nursing activities to meet the needs of the patient. Promotes adaptive responses of patient and family to achieve the highest level of patient care, promote safety, and maximize patient satisfaction. Exhibits compassionate care during patient-nurse interactions. Coordinates patient care and interaction of staff. Meets the qualifications to provide care for patients in their assigned nursing unit. Responsible for ensuring the very best patient and family experience by optimizing all interactions.
Work is typically performed in a clinical environment. Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures. Work Schedule Details: .9 FTE, 36 hours per week, night shift
Unit Details:
Advanced Acute Care Trauma (BP5) is a 20 bed private room medical/surgical, trauma-step down/telemetry unit. We care for a diverse adult population that includes trauma, and/or medical-surgical/telemetry patients. We are newly renovated with state-of-the-art equipment and have many resources including imbedded care management/social workers, and PT/OT. Additionally, vascular access team, lift team and transport teams, as well as, wound ostomy nurses support the functions of our unit.
BP5 welcomes new team members with or without experience. The staff and leadership team members are ready and experienced to help you guide your healthcare professional journey with opportunities for professional development and growth.
Staff members have opportunity to participate in unit based shared governance councils/committees which includes a Unit Practice Council and Scheduling committee. Many of our staff members sit on unit and hospital wide councils. We encourage staff to be actively involved in their work environment in keeping with a Magnet culture.
