Atlantic Health System, is seeking a PerDiem Registered Nurse to work at our Morris Plains Location for the Respiratory - Clinical Services department part of AtHome Medical. The hours for this position are 8:30am - 5:00pm (may vary) on an as-needed basis, and possible on-call.

Essential Job Function:

To provide Respiratory care to patients as ordered by physician according to established standards and practices. Assess patient health problems, needs, and develop/implement care plans. Maintain medical records, and administer care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Complete client care assignments as prescribed by ordering physician.
• Participate in the coordination of client discharge process.
• Attend and participate in company meeting and in-services.
• Educate clients and caregivers in the areas of equipment operation, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Perform client and equipment evaluations as required.
• Maintain good infection control procedures.
• As per company policies and procedures, check and maintain respiratory equipment before patient setup.
• Contact Physicians and Supervisor with any discrepancies in client care.
• Complete documentation of care and services in a timely manner as per company's policies.
• Perform other job-related duties as deemed necessary by management.
• Assist with educating entered patients.
• Candidate will have the ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served. Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.
• Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Purpose, Respect, Innovation, Diversity and Inclusion and Extraordinary Caring) in every aspect of their job.
• Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education:

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program required

Education:

• BSN preferred

License/Certifications:

• Valid NJ RN License (NY and PA encouraged) required
• BLS required

Relevant Experience:

• 1-2 years in Respiratory Care
