The Respiratory Professional Supervisor is responsible for the provision/supervision of respiratory clinical care responsibilities to age specific groups. Respiratory Care processes include assessing, planning, implementing, delivering, and evaluating the treatment, care, and patient needs to achieve goals. Adheres to the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

•Demonstrates, through behavior, AdventHealth service standards.
•Assesses and makes appropriate decisions and interventions according to patient evaluation / needs. Sets patient goals, assisting in the development of a plan of care along with the multidisciplinary team. Evaluates / interpret diagnostic data including but not limited to lab results and monitoring data. Communicates effectively with the multi-disciplinary team.
•Satisfactorily completes department orientation, airway management certification, critical care training program, Infant/ Pediatric Emergency training program (campus specific), and advanced critical care-training program, and is proficient at all applicable procedures defined below.
•Attend new leader orientation and on-going management/leadership classes.
•Ensures that performance appraisals are completed on time. Is fair and consistent with employees. Counsels staff and initiates progressive discipline as needed. Regularly monitors staff activities in the clinical setting, ensuring that services are provided in accordance with department / facility policies and procedures. Ensures efficient use of resources. Assures efficient use of labor by reviewing scheduling and staffing needs.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
•Associate's degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program
•Three years of experience as an Advanced Critical Care Therapist or Five years of experience in long term ventilator care unit.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
• Advanced Cardiac LIfe Support Cert
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert
• Neonatal Resuscitation
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert
• Respiratory Therapist
