Welcome to Augusta. Welcome to the Children’s Hospital of Georgia.
The Division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine is recruiting a 10th colleague to provide critical care services in the Children’s Hospital of Georgia (CHOG). Currently, we provide 24-hour per day coverage for the CHOG’s 14-bed PEDS ICU and 6 bed Intermediate Care Unit. We also cover a growing CVICU service, run a sedation service, and give medical direction for the Pediatric Transport Team. The critical care faculty is responsible for medical education at all levels of the Medical College of Georgia, and there are multiple opportunities to teach the next generation of health care professionals.
We are excellent doctors and we want excellent doctors to come work with us as we provide excellent care for children and their families.
Augusta supports an active arts community with touring companies of Broadway productions, a regional ballet company, and a professional symphony orchestra. The cost of living is below the national average, yet the quality of life ranks well above that same national average.
The faculty at the CHOG find life in Augusta to be a perfect balance between big city and small town. Our intensivists are active in the community: participating in local clubs and organizations, churches, sporting activities, volunteer efforts and their children’s extracurricular events.
Community members proudly describe the area as a wonderful place for children to grow and families to develop. Wonderful school systems are located in both Richmond and Columbia County and includes Davidson Fine Arts which is routinely ranked well within the top 100 High Schools nationally by US News and World Reports.
