Trauma Services Specialist
Job Summary: Responsible for timely, accurate entry and abstraction of all trauma medical records for statistical purposes using coding guidelines, procedures, and New York State Trauma Registry. Responsibilities: Reviews entire record for all pertinent Trauma Registry clinical information. Abstracts and enters all predetermined Trauma Registry information on a computerized system. Submits all data prior to NY State required deadlines. Retrieves and documents statistical information for Trauma Services patients daily for Quality Improvement projects and programs. Identifies trends and makes recommendations for further study. Generates reports as per requ
