Job Summary
A Registered Respiratory Therapist has been validated by successful completion of the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) requirements for professional RCP license by the Texas Medical Board and has a minimum of 2 years work experience in respiratory care.Minimum QualificationsDegrees:Associate's Degree: Graduate of a Respiratory Care program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) or other accrediting body approved by the advisory board.Bachelor's Degree preferred; Graduate of a Respiratory Care program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) or other accrediting body approved by the advisory board.Licenses & Certifications:
-Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board for Respiratory Care.-Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required-Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred-Neonatal Resuscitation Program from American Association of Pediatrics (AAP) is mandatory for working in neonatal ICU (NRP may be obtained within 90 days of employment)-Respiratory Care Practitioner from the Texas Medical BoardWork Experience:Language Skills: Bilingual preferredCommunication Skills:
