Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse, Pediatric Cardiac ICU, applies the nursing process to plan and implement the care of patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning. The Pediatric RN, effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to the health care team. Collaborates in establishing patient goals and evaluates progress to ensure effective outcomes. Furthers professional growth by engaging in learning activities according to the Board of Nursing standards..

• 7:00 pm-7:00 am/3 shifts a week (Night)

Sign On Terms:

• $20,000 (taxable) within 60 days of hire
• The sign-on bonus is not applicable to current VUMC staff or former staff who have worked for VUMC in the past one year.

Relocation Terms:

• $15,000 (taxable) within 45 day of hire
• Must relocate from greater than 100 miles
• The relocation bonus is not applicable to current VUMC staff or former staff who have worked for VUMC in the past one year.

• Collaborates in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum.
• Analyzes comprehensive information pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine nursing diagnosis.
• Continually utilizes the nursing process to evaluate patient's progress towards goals and applies appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes.
• Employs strategies to promote health and a safe and healthy environment.

Graduate of an approved discipline specific program (or equivalent experience) and 1 year relevant experience
