JOB SUMMARY
The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant -Urgent Care/ED is a skilled member of the health team who provides medical and educational services to patients under the supervision of a licensed physician, according to Nurse Practitioner Protocol, and within the scope of the Nurse Practitioner License in the State of Wisconsin. This individual works within a cooperative department, utilizing team effort with health care providers, co-workers, and the public to provide positive patient interaction.
Minocqua is a 12 bed facility and Trauma level 3 certified. This role will have a schedule of 10am-10pm.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Required Education: Master's degree nurse practitioner.
Preferred/Optional: None
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required: None
Preferred/Optional: Two years nursing, Urgent Care or Emergency Department experience.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
Minimum Required
Preferred/Optional: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
