Prospective candidates will be part of a collaborative team of more than 40 specialized intensivists and 18 Acute Care Trauma Surgeons. We are seeking to recruit an outstanding Trauma Intensivists to join our Inova Alexandria critical care team. We are looking for an energetic Trauma Intensivist who wants to join a collaborative team dedicated to building a Trauma Acute Care Program.
Experience and Requirements:
Experience in fellowship training or as an attending with critically ill patients and trauma patients is required. Candidates will be expected to be proficient with standard intensive care procedures (central lines, S-G catheter placement etc.). Responsibilities will include managing patients requiring vasopressors, acute trauma, mechanical support, post-operative neurosurgical patients, stroke patient and cardiogenic shock with the support of team APP's.
Candidates should be Board Certified or board eligible in Critical Care Medicine. Physicians who may wish to divide their efforts between Critical Care and a primary specialty (e.g., Acute care surgery, Anesthesiology, Emergency Medicine) are encouraged to apply.
