Position Summary:The LPN is a licensed nursing team member working under the direction of a Physician, Advanced Practice Provider, Registered Nurse or designee to provide quality care that is focused on the comfort and well being of the patient and family. The LPN is familiar with the normal stages of growth and development and signs of aging, and is responsible for providing age appropriate care. This position requires a service-oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills. For the purpose of delivering and executing daily routine care and services to patients from diverse ethnic and social groups, some independent decision-making is expected in the execution of daily routine duties. The LPN assists the Registered Nurse or care team in implementing the nursing process. Decisions regarding patient care or services require the review and approval of the Registered Nurse. Internal contacts may include patient care staff, Laboratory, Pharmacy, Radiology, and other department's staff and management. External contacts include physicians, patients, families, and visitors.
Minimum Requirements:Previous experience as a LPN, in an acute care setting within the last three (3) years preferredCurrent experience in the assigned specialty, or successful completion of a specialty focused residency post hire. Successful completion of appropriate competencies for assigned specialty
Education/Licenses/Certifications:Current Washington licensure as an LPNLicense to pass medications may be required
