Position Information:The Director of Mobile Critical Care Services will serve as the Director for WakeMed's comprehensive medical transport program with system-wide accountability for all operational aspects of Mobile Critical Care Services (ground division) and Emergency Communications maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, service, and fiscal responsibility. This position is responsible for coordinating inter-facility patient throughput into, out of, and across the healthcare system. The program Director oversees personnel at multiple campuses across the WakeMed system and is responsible for the strategic planning, financial management and budgeting processes, quality assurance/performance improvement activities, and ensuring regulatory agency compliance of assigned areas. This position works closely with the program medical director ensuring the highest standards in quality of care. Direct reports include the Manger of Mobile Critical Care Services and the Manager of Emergency Communications. This position represents WakeMed to the public, health care organizations, professional associations, and governmental agencies while establishing collaborative relationships with internal and external customers. The program Director supports WakeMed's Mission, Vision, and Values while embracing the Wake Way in support of the organization's aspirational goals.
Experience Requirements:5 Years Nursing - Related Area Required - And 3 Years Clinical - Emergency Department/Trauma Or Clinical - EMS or Medical Transport Service Required - And 3 Years Management Required
Education Required:Bachelor's Degree Nursing Required - And Master's Degree Related Field Preferred
Licensure/Certification Requirements:Registered Nurse Required - And National Certification in Nursing Required - Within 1 Year of Hire And Maintain Vehicle Operator Insurability Required
Hours of Work:Monday - Friday 8:00 am. - 5: pm.
Weekend Requirements:As Needed
