Atlantic Health System is seeking a Per Diem Registered Respiratory Therapist primarily working 7p-7a at Morristown Medical Center.

Essential Job Function:

• Administering safe and competent respiratory care
• Reviewing and communicating physician orders
• Administering of medications
• Performing patient assessments
• Understanding implication of hemodynamic and pulse oximetry monitoring
• Performing arterial blood punctures and analysis
• Assisting with transport and monitoring of ventilated patients
• Documenting therapeutic information in the patient's medical record and on other forms
• Assisting with lifting, rolling and proning of patients
• Performing according to approved infection control policies and procedures
• Working with the diagnostic teams is areas of bedside bronchoscopy and COPD education

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required
• Associate of Science degree from an accredited respiratory therapist program, required
• Bachelor's Degree, highly preferred

Minimum Experience Required

• 1-2 years of Respiratory Care experience, required
• Critical care experience, highly preferred
• Previous experience with PFT studies and cardiopulmonary testing, highly preferred
• Current or past experience with EPIC charting, highly preferred
• Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC), required
• Credentialed as Certified or Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist, expected to have or obtain with 12 months of hire
• Active license for Respiratory Therapy in New Jersey, required. Advanced and Basic Life Support certification, required
