The Department of Emergency Medicine at Rush Oak Park Hospital is seeking full-time, residency trained, Board Certified / Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physicians to join their team. With an annual volume of more than 47,000 patients, the Emergency Department is well-staffed with an average of 58 hours of physician coverage and 36 hours of mid-level provider coverage daily. The newly built emergency room was opened in October 2019 has 22 private rooms. Emergency Medicine (EM) physicians are employed by the hospital and receive a competitive benefits package, CME allowance and paid time off. A 1.0 cFTE physician works 1,683 clinical hours per year which includes one hour of overlap coverage to decrease the number of patient hand-offs. The Emergency Department is committed to delivering excellent, patient-focused care in a collegial and cooperative atmosphere. Our affiliation with Rush University Medical Center allows for easy transfers of patients requiring tertiary care. Rush Oak Park Hospital is conveniently located 10 miles from downtown Chicago and in a desirable residential neighborhood.
