The Department of Surgery of Emory University at Grady Memorial Hospital, Atlanta, Georgia, is actively seeking a qualified mid-career academic Burn/Surgical Critical Care surgeon to join a busy American Burn Association verified Adult and Pediatric Burn Unit at Grady Memorial Hospital. Gradys Burn unit is directed by Walter Ingram MD, Emory Associate Professor of Surgery along with Assistant Medical Director and Fellowship Director Juvonda Hodge MD and Dr. Rohit Mittal, Associate Professor. See link for additional information about the Center: https://www.gradyburn.org/.
Responsibilities include supervision of a multidisciplinary team along with integral involvement with ICU rounds and the operating room. There are extraordinary opportunities for clinical research based on patient volumes and acuity. The ideal candidate should have a background or strong interest in clinical research (candidates with MPH, MSc or similar degree are very welcome to apply). Leadership opportunities in the unit exist as well.
