TeamHealth currently has an opportunity for a PRN physician certified or board prepared in emergency medicine through American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM) join our emergency medicine (EM) program in Las Vegas, Nevada. Candidates must have completed an emergency medicine residency and be board certified within 5 years. Mountainview Hospital is a state-of-the-art, full-service 425-bed medical facility located in the heart of Northwest Las Vegas. Nationally recognized programs including a top cardiovascular and thoracic center, the renowned Las Vegas Institute for Robotic Surgery, an Accredited Chest Pain Center and Certified Stroke Center. Other areas of excellence include emergency care, cardiology, urology, wound care and gynecological services, orthopedics, vascular care and an inpatient rehabilitation unit. Mountainview Hospital sees an annual volume of 82,000 with an admission rate of 30%. The emergency department features 4 beds and a fast track. Clinicians see 2.5 patients per hour. Scribes are available and there is excellent specialty back up. There are 70 hours of physician coverage and 30 hours of advanced practice clinician (APC) coverage daily. Physicians work in 10-hour shifts. A 24-bed emergency department (ED) expansion is underway now which is slated to be done in 2022.
