This position is responsible for the daily performance of the respiratory therapy team, and collaborates with all members of the health care team to provide quality service to our customers. In addition, this position provides oversight for other respiratory therapists, including chart audits and acting as an expert resource for staff. Develops educational materials and delivers ongoing training to staff. Provides non-clinical support to departmental leadership, including policy revisions. This position independently provides respiratory care, pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic testing to patients in a variety of health care settings.

Associate or technical degree required.
Proof of having passed the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
(RRT). A current license in state practiced as required by state law. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are required.
Must be knowledgeable of clinical techniques, applications and equipment as typically obtained through 3 years of clinical experience. Must possess highly effective human relation skills necessary to interface with patients, families, staff and other healthcare personnel.
Must demonstrate ability to lead and motivate the team. Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision, and to work independently. Must possess excellent organizational skills, demonstrates critical thinking skills as well as effective human relations and communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Additional related education and/or experience preferred, including PFT, SDS, NPS, NRP, ACCS and/or AE-C.
Previous supervisory experience preferred.
