ChristianaCare is currently recruiting for a highly motivated Advanced Practice Clinician to work in Medical Critical Care. Responsibilities include admitting and managing multiple critically ill patients in the Medical ICU at the Newark campus, Wilmington ICU at Wilmington campus, and the ICU at the Cecil campus as well as performing various ICU procedures in collaboration with medical critical care intensivists.

This position includes a $20,000 sign-on bonus with a 2 year commitment.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Take and perform history and physical examinations - Record and interpret pertinent data (i.e., labs, diagnostic studies, discharge summaries, progress notes, etc.) - Evaluate, diagnose and treat patients under the supervision of a licensed physician - Write orders under supervision of a licensed physician - Participate in daily interdisciplinary rounds - Maintain communication with patients and families regarding care - Perform technical skills (i.e., arterial catheters, central venous catheters) - Perform other medical acts as delegated by the supervising physician - Demonstrates skills and knowledge necessary to provide care appropriate to adult and geriatric patients, including knowledge of growth and development, the ability to obtain and interpret information to identify patient needs, and provide the care needed - Perform assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices - Report any unsafe activities to supervisor in a timely manner, including conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors - Perform other related duties as required. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS - Physician Assistant must be a graduate of an ARC-PA accredited physician assistant program and have NCCPA Certification - Nurse Practitioner requires a Masters' degree, with degree specialization as Adult Acute Care NP - License or license eligible for the State of Delaware and Maryland
