The role you’ll contribute:

The Respiratory Therapist, practicing under the clinical direction of the physicians and administrative direction of the Practice Leader, provides appropriate care, evaluation and treatment for patients with breathing and/or cardiopulmonary disorders.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Administers breathing and oxygen procedures such as nebulizer treatments
• Prepares and tests devices used such as pulmonary equipment, breathing devices and oxygen supply
• Sets equipment controls to regulate the flow of oxygen and gases
• Administers prescribed medications & treatments; documents appropriately and completely
• Assesses patients’ response to treatments and modifies treatment if necessary; monitors patients during treatments and reports any unusual reactions to physician or appropriate staff members
• Maintains medication safely by monitoring refrigerator and freezer temperatures and dating multi-dose vials when opened; ensures that no expired medications are available for use
