RN PRN TIER II ICU Postion Summary

Provides direct nursing care in a diverse healthcare environment in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
� Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
� Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
� Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
� Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
� Complies with the terms of the RN PRN Commitment Agreement for Tier II: Hospital based; Unit based or central resource team based; 4 shifts per 4 weeks; 1 weekend shift per 4 weeks (can be counted toward 4-shift requirement); One major and one minor holiday; Must be able to work within one designated cluster.

THE RN PRN TIER II CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:
Required: Valid current Arizona Nursing License or compact state license and ability to become Arizona Licensed in 30 days.
Required: Basic Life Support (BLS).

EDUCATION:
Required: Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing.

WORK EXPERIENCE:
Required: Two (2) years of acute care clinical experience.
