Position Summary

The Pulmonology Nurse will focus specifically on working with patients in our Sleep Clinic. The RN will work as a liaison between patients and DME companies to assure equipment delivered/ troubleshoot issues. In addition the RN will collaborate with Respiratory Therapy to help with CPCP mask fit testing, Care Coordination, assist in creating patient education material, call parents with Sleep Study results, help with sleep advice as needed between patient appointments, manage patient database, and help retrieve compliance data for patients on CPAP prior to patient visits. This position is in our clinic, M - F; 8 AM - 4:30 PM; NO Weekends/Holidays or Call!!

This position, in collaboration with the healthcare team, patient, and family, coordinates and promotes patient health utilizing evidence-based practice in the delivery of professional nursing care across the care continuum. This position advocates for the patient and family adhering to nursing and medical plans of care, regulatory standards, and organizational values.

Education

• Two year (ADN) degree in nursing, a four year degree (BSN) in nursing, or a Diploma Nursing degree. (Required)
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or currently enrolled in an RN to BSN program. (Preferred)

Experience

• Pediatric experience. (Preferred)

Certifications

• Current State of Arizona RN license or an RN license from a compact state with multistate privileges or the ability to establish licensure according to Arizona law prior to start date. (Required)
• Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association. (Required)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification may be required within 90 days of entry into the position for select departments. (Preferred)
