Teaching responsibilities may include the instruction of medical students, residents, and fellows rotating through the operating rooms and wards of the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP), Penn Presbyterian Medical Center (PPMC), and Pennsylvania Hospital (PAH), as well as participation in lectures, small groups, workshops, and/or simulation sessions.
Clinical responsibilities may include the provision of critical care services at the HUP, PPMC, and PAH, as well as provision of clinical anesthesia services at HUP or PPMC. There are additional opportunities to participate in our innovative critical care programs, including tele-critical care and mobile ECMO. Our intensivists usually have one "home" unit and may rotate through one or two additional ICUs depending on the number of ICU weeks worked.
