Seattle is a seaport city and the seat of King County. With an estimated 686,800 residents, Seattle is the largest city in both the state of Washington and the Pacific Northwest region of North America. The city is situated on an isthmus between Puget Sound and Lake Washington. Named by Kiplinger's as one of the "10 Best Cities for the Next Decade," the Seattle metropolitan region is a great place to live, visit and do business. It's home to some of the most recognizable global companies including Amazon, Boeing, Microsoft, Starbucks, Costco, Nordstrom, REI, and Alaska Airlines.
