As an RRT, you can bring your experience and passion for health care to our Respiratory team at Banner Ironwood Medical Center (BIMC)! The BIMC Respiratory Therapy department is highly engaged in teamwork which allows staff to have the ability to cross train to critical care areas more easily. Since we are a rural hospital, staff have the ability to interact with medical providers and provide input/feedback more frequently and develop care plans. There is also the opportunity to assist with daily interdisciplinary rounds. BIMC utilizes some of the new respiratory therapy technologies like the Puritan Bennett 980 ventilators, Vapotherm, Metaneb, as well as Inhaled Epoprostenol with the Aerogen device. We have also achieved an "A" lead frog score.
BIMC's respiratory team is a small department which feels like a family environment. Staff and leadership are supportive of one another. Within the department, there are opportunities for growth as a Respiratory therapist. These opportunities include gaining additional experience in respiratory therapy, the ability to float to Banner Goldfield Medical Center (BGFMC) and being a major part of the multidisciplinary care team.
