Duke University Hospital is ranked in the top 20 nationally for seven adult specialties, including cardiology and heart surgery, nephrology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, pulmonology, rheumatology, and urology.
In addition to its hospitals, Duke Health has an extensive, geographically dispersed network of outpatient facilities that include primary care offices, urgent care centers, multi-specialty clinics and outpatient surgery centers.
This will be an orthopedic/MSK position that will support the growth of the spine clinic at 1B/1C, and also the trauma clinic at 1H. There also will be the possibility of cross coverage at the Douglas Street location. We will consider both recent graduates, or providers with experience. Interested applicants should have an interest in the area of orthopedics, persistent pain, and joint health.
Provide physical therapy services to patients/clients who have impairments, functional limitations, disabilities, or changes in physical function and health status resulting from injury, disease, or other causes; provide prevention and wellness services, including screenings and health promotion. The senior serves as a resource person for the team and the department: participates in orientation of new staff therapists, physicians and other health personnel. The senior participates in teaching activities for physical therapy and other health related students. The physical therapist works within practice guidelines as defined by North Carolina state law.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Ability to push-pull, lift-carry, and transfer patients.
Bachelor's degree or certification in physical therapy, with Master's orClinical Doctorate in physical therapy preferred.
None beyond required education, although more experience may be preferred at times.

Current Physical Therapist license in North Carolina
