Duke Nursing Highlights:
This position is for a full-time RN at Duke Integrative Medicine located on the Center for Living campus. The clinical services at Duke Integrative Medicine include an Integrative Primary Care Practice, physician consultations, as well as therapeutics: Massage Therapy, Acupuncture, Nutrition, Psychology, Yoga Therapy and Integrative Health Coach ing.
We are looking for a dynamic and pers onable RN who values strong customer service and wants to work in a small team environment. Responsibilities include coordination of patient flo w and clinic schedule, POC tasks and testing, medication reconciliation, oversight of 2 CMAs, assisting with blood draws, EKGs, injections and o ther nursing procedures.Phlebotomy skills required. EKG skills preferred. Appreciation for the integrative health model preferred.
Coordinate and participate in the delivery of patient care in aDuke University ambulatory care site ensuring compliance with physician orders and established policies and procedures; assist the Health Center Administrator to identify and develop operational needs for the site to ensure effective patient care.
Coordinate and participate in the delivery of patient care ensuring complianc e with physician orders and established policies and procedures; perform duties of staff nurse as necessary.
Coordinate activities of nursi ng staff with other personnel and services engaged in caring for patient s; advise other services of conditions or circumstances affecting plans for diagnosis, therapy or patient activity. Interface with patient and t heir relatives to provide instruction,promote participation in patient care and to coordinate nursing activities with family plans; initiate re ferrals to appropriate agencies as required.Interpret and implemen t safety practices; set standards for nursing staff and others involved in the maintenance of a clean clinic setting.Plan, schedule and or ganize work for group ensuring proper distribution of assignments and ef ficient utilization of personnel, space and facilities; direct the requi sition, care and maintenance of inventory, equipment and supplies.Maintain require patient records, reports and statistics for administrat ive purposes; ensure compliance with established clinic policies procedu res, objective, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection c ontrol.Prepare reports and analyses setting forth progress, advers e trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions.Assist the Health Center Administrator in determining the fiscal requirements of t he clinic and in preparing budgetary recommendations.Supervise var ious personnel actions including, but not limited to, hiring, merit reco mmendations, promotions and vacation schedules; coordinate a program of continual education and training for nursing staff.Perform other r elated duties incidental to the work described herein.
2 years of nursing experience is required
Current or compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina required. BLS required.
