The Attending Physician VI provides clinical care and management of patient ages 0-21 years. Responsibilities include supervising residents, medical students, and fellows as needed. Adheres to all federal, local, and departmental rules and regulations supporting at all Cook County Health (CCH) locations, primarily at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital. Develops and conducts a Development and Behavior curriculum for pediatric residents, and develops a clinical program of behavior, development, and school performance, key areas impacting the lives of children particularity low-income minority patients we service. Supervises pediatric residents in continuity clinic and may act as an inpatient attending depending on the clinical demand generated by the behavioral program.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics

Degrees awarded outside of the United States with the exception of those awarded in one of the United States' territories and Canada must be credentialed by an approved U.S. credential evaluation service belonging to the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) or the Association of International Credential Evaluators (AICE). Original credentialing documents must be presented at time of interview.
Must successfully meet the credentialing standards established by the Cook County Health and Hospitals System to include a State of Illinois MD license and any other license, certification, or specialized training, etc. no later than two (2) weeks prior to the candidate's start date
