WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Franciscan Physician Network is seekingÂ a full-time Audiologist to join our team in Michigan City, Indiana, located in beautiful Northwest Indiana on the shores of Lake Michigan.Â Provider will join our team of one audiologist and two audiology assistants.Â We are seeking a provider interested in a steady, long-term relationship to build their practice within Franciscan.Â Â
WHAT WE NEED:
Ideal candidate will have a passion for providing audiology services, clinical excellence, and patient satisfaction. Candidate will display exceptional interpersonal skills and desire to develop strong ties with the community and existing medical staff. Audiologist will need to work collaboratively with all staff members to coordinate and deliver the highest quality of patient care.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
Flexible Hours Monday through Friday
36 patient contact hours, 4 hours administrative time
Ability to work 4 or 4 Â½ day work week
Patient Volumes: 12 â“ 14 outpatient clinic
Interest in Cochlear Implant work to support existing CI Program
Work with a multidisciplinary team including specialists in physical therapy, ENT and audiology
Perform a full range of diagnostic hearing and vestibular testing including VNG, CDP balance testing
Obtain case history and administers diagnostic tests such as VNG's, ABR's and ECOG's; interprets results to determine the nature and degree of hearing and or balance problems
Plan and direct treatment programs to restore patientsâ™ communicative function
Consult with patients regarding additional services such as hearing conservation, swim plugs, assistive listening devices, and programs
Make referrals for further diagnostic evaluation, therapy and/or treatments
Counsel and instruct patients and their families in techniques to improve hearing and communication related to hearing loss
Instruct in communication strategies to improve two-way communication for the patient
Fit, dispense, and repair assistive devices
Prepare documentation to bill for services
Dictate reports for transcription of medical records
