There is an ongoing strike among nurses at St. Vincent Hospital. This position is for a permanent replacement of a striking worker.

Sign on Bonus brings with it a 2 year employment commitment, and pays out quarterly over the first year of employment.
Responsible for the cost effective delivery and management of direct patient care utilizing the nursing process and adhering to the standards of nursing practice.
Through communication and collaboration with all members of the hospital, community, families of patients, volunteers, visitors, and students.
Initiates leadership in directing personnel and coordinating activities in the care of patients.
As a member of the team the RN will also be responsible for performing the duties and responsibilities assigned to the a Patient Care Associate (PCA) and Service Associate (SA) when needed so as to facilitate service to patients in a timely manner.
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
B.S. degree preferred.
Physical health sufficient to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the position and its location.

One year Medical/Surgical, Specialty or Critical Care area experience preferred.
PROFESSIONAL LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION:
Currently licensed as RN in the State of MA.
Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
Fifteen (15) hours of continuing education every two years.
Certification in specialty recommended.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS AND LEVEL OF AUTONOMY:
Reports and is directly accountable to the Department manager.
Works within the defined Scope of Practice.
