Under general supervision of a Radiologist, The Ultrasound Technologists performs ultrasound procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients in a physician office, clinic, and hospital setting as requested by a physician or other licensed provider for the diagnosis of disease and injury in accordance with established protocols.
The Ultrasound Technologists prepares patient or area for ultrasound procedure by positioning patient, adjusting immobilization devices, moving equipment into specified position and adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors.
The Ultrasound Technologists protects patients and employees by adhering to safety requirements, infection-control, drug and radiation policies, protocols and techniques. Uses proper sterile techniques when setting up and performing invasive ultrasound procedures and maintains hand hygiene requirements.
The Ultrasound Technologists assists leadership in maintaining all required policies, procedures, standards and records for applicable governmental, regulatory and accrediting organizations by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations of the OSHA, TJC, TDH and ACR.
The ideal candidate for The Ultrasound Technologists must have experience with excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and organizational skills that also maintains professionalism and objectivity in member interactions.

ARRT-Breast Sonography (BS), ARRT-Sonography (S), Musculoskeleta Sonography (MSK), Reg Diag Med Sono-Abdomen (AB), Reg Diag Med Sono-Breast (BR), Reg Diag Med Sono-OB/GYN (OB) or Registered Vascular Tech (RVT).
Graduate of an accredited program or Equivalent
Basic Life Support (BLS)
