The STEMI/EP Coordinator is a dual position that will eventually grow into two separate positions.
The STEMI coordinator is responsible for following up on STEMI patients who are treated at Brookwood. This includes patient follow-up, communication with sending facilities, and tracking of data. Additionally, this position is responsible for presenting STEMI information in a bi-weekly multidisciplinary meeting as well as presentation at any necessary committee meetings. This position requires extensive communication with nursing and hospital leadership as well as physicians.
The EP Coordinator will work closely with our EP program, EP physicians, cardiologists, hospitalists and ER to identify appropriate EP candidates and expedite their care. This position involves communicating extensively with both patients as well as physicians. Organizational skills are essential to the success of the candidate. Because this position is a new concept, much of the initial work will be in developing work flows and protocols to help guide EP referrals and consultations.
The ideal candidate for this position has a strong background of cardiac nursing experience. Additionally, the candidate must be proficient in Microsoft products, including Power Point. Excellent communication and presentation skills are a must.
Required: Graduate of an accredited School of NursingPreferred: Academic degree in nursing (Bachelors or Masters degree)
Required: 1 year RN experience.
Required: Must be currently licensed, certified or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy. CPR
