NICU Follow-Up/Developmental Medicine Nurse Practitioner
Job Summary: The NP has a strong foundation in Pediatrics, using evidence-based clinical practice to provide an environment of safe quality care. The NP demonstrates an advanced level of medical and nursing knowledge, clinical/technical competence, sound clinical judgment, professional communication skills, timely and compliant documentation, and is responsible for professional development and competency validation. This Nurse Practitioner will provide direct patient care to infants and children in the NICU follow-up clinic as well as the general Developmental Medicine clinics.
Supervisor: Division Director of Developmental Medicine
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Patient Care Services
2. Coordinate Clinic Administrative Responsibilities
Qualifications Job requires Master of Science in Nursing, TN RN/APN licensure, DEA eligibility, and National Board Certification (Primary Care preferred).
Experience 2 years minimum advanced practice nursing experience in the ambulatory setting is preferred. Previous experience with developmental evaluation is preferred.
