Position Summary:We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a per diem Nuclear Lab Technologist, based in Huntington, Long Island. This per diem role is expected to work on Thursdays, 11am-7pm. In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for performing medically prescribed nuclear medicine procedures; maintaining departmental standards in accordance with Policies and Procedures, and up-to-date knowledge on new techniques and procedures. This position works under limited supervision independently performing Nuclear Medicine testing. Work situations require a service-oriented individual. Procedures performed require independent judgement, initiative, ingenuity, and strict adherence to radiation safety management guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications:Associates degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology . Completion of a Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) recognized nuclear medicine technology program. Certification/registration in Nuclear Medicine (or eligibility) by either the: Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) ; The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in nuclear medicine technology.
