You Will Be Responsible For:

• Performs properly and legibly documents and reports all procedures and assessments in accordance with department policy.  Utilizes proper method-paperwork or computer for documentation.
• Obtains or delegates the obtaining of a nursing history. Evaluates for age-appropriate behavior motor skills and physiological norms of the patient. Completes the initial assessment, including pain screening.  Completes all follow-up assessments and evaluations. Assesses for signs of abuse or neglect. Evaluates patients’ developmental level, identifies increased physical/emotional dependency needs and evaluates availability of support system consistent with the age of the patient served. Demonstrates the ability to assess and interpret data relative to patient age.   Able to identify individualized plan of care. Evaluates patients’ developmental level, identifies increased physical/emotional dependency needs and evaluates availability of support system consistent with the age of the patient served.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the levels of growth and skills for the neonate/infant (0-1 year), Pediatric (1-12 years), adolescent (12-18 years), and geriatric (65+ years).
• Performs treatments and administers medications. Identifies needs and plan of care.  Functions appropriately in clinical emergencies.   Evaluates effectiveness of interventions.  Interprets and verifies physician orders correctly.  Investigates questionable situations.
• Always completes required education in a timely manner.   Attends department meetings and other meetings as required and promotes positive dialogue with respect to meeting or exceeding department objectives.  Is fully accountable for active listening, seeks to understand all agenda items and provides feedback when requested.   Consistently reads email in order to keep up to date with information sent out via this communication method. 
• Identifies the need for patient teaching and utilizes each opportunity for teaching on a planned or spontaneous basis.
• Assists with collection of data for all process improvement, and other projects, realizing final goals of department.  Contributes ideas for improvement of processes in the department.  Accepts changes in the workplace with a willing spirit. Actively participates in department and patient satisfaction initiatives.  Is aware and utilizes patient service recovery when appropriate.
• Adheres to all infection control standards; utilizing hospital approved PPE and disinfectant agents as appropriate.  Always washes hands between patient contact(s). Properly wears dosimeter badge and seeks to minimize radiation exposure to patients, coworkers and the general public.
• Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure the smooth operation of the department or unit.

What You Will Need:

• Excellent customer care service
• Knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical administration and its effects
• BLS and ACLS
• EKG
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• One year of recent critical care experience
• Basic computer skills including EMHR (Cerner) proficiency
• Current registration with Florida State Board of Nursing as a registered professional nurse
• Current BLS and ACLS

Job Summary:

• Under general supervision the Imaging RN is a registered professional nurse who is responsible for providing and supervising direct and indirect total nursing care to age specific groups identified in the direct care responsibilities.  Utilize the nursing process in achieving the goals of the department.  Adhere to the AdventHealth rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies.  Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Assists in promoting an atmosphere where the imaging staff can openly discuss process improvements.   Support the organization’s mission and vision.  Actively participates in LEAN/Kaizen activities as requested
