| Summary
Delivers professional and technical post anesthesia nursing care to patients presenting to Specialty Areas. Nursing care delivered complies with the objectives and policies of the hospital. Adheres to the monitoring of and compliance with all licensing and regulatory agency guidelines including but not limited to JC, ACHA, OSHA, CMS, DCF, etc. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation when delivering nursing care. Prepares equipment and assists physician during treatments and examinations of patients. Assists in planning, supervising and instructing Licensed Practical Nurses, and patient Care Assistants. May take charge relief assignments occasionally. The professional nurse must possess strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work in a stressful fast paced environment is essential.

Required licensures/certifications
Current Florida Nursing License
Current BLS Certification
Current ACLS Certification
Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of principles of perioperative nursing.
Experience
Nurse must possess (1) of the following requirements:
a) One year of PACU experience or internship validated by certificate or one year of Critical Care experience.
b) Dysrhythmia interpretation and management course.
c) OR or PACU course
d) CPAN or related certification.
Candidates in unit have priority based on unit seniority
