Duke University Hospital Job Description Position Summary Position Requirements Education: Licensure: NP: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina and approval to practice as an NP. Certification: Experience: Life support: Hours Responsible to Work requires completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, preferred. with a Master's degree in Nursing. Critical Care / Acute Care NP Master's or completion of ACNP/CCNP post-Master's program strongly Experience1 Year of Experience in an ICU setting (RN or NP), 3 years of experience strongly preferred. Degrees, Licensures, CertificationsMust have current or compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina. BLS required. National certification as a NP required prior to or within 6 months of employment. Certification as an Acute Care or Critical Care Nurse Practitioner strongly preferred.
