The Miami Transplant Institute, a collaboration between Jackson Health System and UHealth-University of Miami Health System are seeking to immediately recruit an intensivist with extensive experience in Mechanical and Circulatory support (ECMO) to join the team for an exciting opportunity . Experience with critically ill cardiac, cardiothoracic, thoracic transplant, and adult congenital heart disease patients is expected. Candidates are also expected to be proficient with standard intensive care procedures. Responsibilities will include managing post-transplant, VAD, ECMO, and cardiothoracic patients with a team of APRN’s and house staff to provide 24/7 coverage at Jackson Memorial Hospital located in the heart of Miami, FL.

All candidates must be board certified within 2 years of completion of training in Critical Care. Selected candidates will have a full-time academic appointment at the University of Miami within the Department and Specialty division of their primary specialty as well as a cross appointment at the Miami Transplant Institute. The selected candidate will be fully committed to the program. Off-campus moonlighting will not be permitted.
